1. A veterinarian for animals is a dynamic career that caters to several job responsibilities and they may work in different places. Some veterinarians are self funded and they have their private clinics. Other veterinarians work in a large organization that maybe funded by a state government. Examples of such big organizations are zoos and animals shelters.

Vets that work in private usually cater to domestic pets such as dogs, birds and cats. Other exotic pets such as lizards, frogs, snakes and spiders are treated by these private practiced veterinarians as well. At a zoo, all animals are taken care of by vets who practice there.
